I am going to participate in Inktober this year. What's Inktober? Here's the official synopsis straight from their website
Inktober is a month long art challenge created by artist Jake Parker that is focused on improving skill and developing positive drawing habits. Every day for the month of October anyone participating in the Inktober challenge creates an ink drawing and posts it online. Remember to use the hashtags #inktober and #inktober2019 if you want your art to be seen by everyone.
It's been a challenging year for us here at Toonhound Studio. My personal life has eaten up a lot of my time. Schedules have fallen behind, and I've lost a step when it comes to drawing and creating art. Family comes first, as so many of you are insistent to remind me, but now that things are settling for us, it's time to get back on the horse and develop some positive work habits. I hope to jumpstart my creativity again with Inktober this year.
I would also encourage you to participate. It's never too late to find an outlet for your creativity. Make some time to draw something. It's fun and therapeutic. If you don't think you can draw every day of October, draw every other day, or once a week. Just pick a realistic schedule and stick to it. By October 31st you'll feel a great sense of accomplishment and you can run with that momentum into autumn. That's what I plan to do.
I have not picked a theme for my Inktober drawings. Jake is kind enough to provide an official list of prompts, but I might want to come up with my own. Most likely it'll be something related to the world of Table Titans and fantasy roleplaying.
So get your supplies in order, set up a clean space on the kitchen table and let's get ready to draw!
